  High Carbon Steel: High carbon steel contains 0.6% to 1.5% carbon. It has the highest strength and hardness among the three types of carbon steel but is also the least ductile. High carbon steel is often used for cutting tools, knives, springs, and high-strength wires. Its hardness makes it suitable for applications where wear resistance and strength are crucial, but it may be more brittle and less suitable for applications requiring impact resistance or flexibility.
